I am a mother, a grandmother with 6 amazing grandchildren, a dog mom, a professional career woman, creator, certified yoga teacher , author, and seeker of things that bring light to my life and nurture my soul. I have been a higher education administrator, teacher, and consultant for 30 plus years. I earned an EdD in Postsecondary and Higher Education Administrator and worked in colleges for many years. My experiences as an educator also opened the doors for me to become a yoga practitioner and teacher. I began practicing yoga in 2002 and started teaching yoga classes in Loveland, Colorado in 2012. I knew I had found a path to healing when I found the mat.
My first yoga class was a Hatha class and it resonated deeply, calming my spirit, and nurturing my spiritual quest. Every class I attended was an open door to new experiences. As I reflect, it was probably the first time that I had felt the bliss of stillness and movement. I’ve taken every opportunity to study with different teachers and during this journey. My exposure to so many different teachers shaped my teaching style. This journey began to shift from the physical and emotional essence of yoga to more spiritual over the years. Today, I embed the lessons I’ve learned in my spiritual journey into my classes. I help students to develop an awareness of their breath, body, and mind and to sit with the sensations of stillness as a precursor to movement.
Today, while still teaching yoga classes, my offerings include healing retreats for women. These retreats are created to provide space for women to connect, share their stories, and learn about alternative paths to healing. Additionally, I provide products designed to calm the human spirit, reduce stress and anxiety, and help people to find balance and bliss in their everyday living.
Things that help me find balance and bring me bliss include working with women to support their healing journey, my children and grandchildren, friends, animals, gardening, yoga, long walks in nature, meditating, and listening to music., integrating stillness and movement, and sending love out to the world.
I look forward to getting to know you soon!
Take the to calm your spirit and nurture your soul!
